Het bedrijf is in 1999 opgericht door Roland Oudsen met als doel de nabewerking van digitale printprocessen te automatiseren. Dit door koppelingen te maken tussen printers en de finishing apparatuur. Het bedrijf is gevestigd in Emst. Midden in Nederland. In de loop der jaren is SDD gegroeid tot een volwaardige expertise partner op het gebied van document finishing met innovatieve oplossingen voor de digitale print markt. Er zijn meer dan 90 verschillende producten uitgebracht. Sinds 2004 is SDD ook importeur van finishing systemen van gerenommeerde merken zoals Plockmatic, Morgana, D&K, JBi en Uchida. Vandaag houdt SDD het volledig productieproces in eigen hand. Van ontwikkeling en design, tot productie, levering en onderhoud van document finishing oplossingen.
