Low humidity is the cause of many production and quality problems.

The printing industry regularly experiences problems such as; curling paper, jammed machines, causing production and material losses. These problems can be easily prevented with the right humidity level (55-60%).

Condair can advise you on the right choice of humidifier based on your needs in terms of energy consumption, hygiene and investment and maintenance costs. We have the solution for both small (budget) and large production environments.

What causes dry air or materials to dry out?

When a (production) area is heated above the outside air temperature, the relative humidity inside immediately drops. This effect is caused by the fact that cold air can contain less moisture than warm air. Opening windows or doors has no effect on the relative humidity inside as long as the inside temperature is higher than the outside temperature.
The dry air will then draw moisture from all the materials, people and machinery in the (production) area, causing them to dry out further as well. The result is production and quality losses

Air humidification increases your production efficiency

As a natural material, paper is very sensitive to changes in humidity. If the air around printing presses and in paper storage areas is too dry, the edges of the paper will curl. Too low humidity also increases static electricity, causing paper to stick. Tightly stretched edges on reels can cause paper reels to break. All these cause problems in the machines, resulting in production and quality losses. A humidification system can prevent these problems and significantly increase the efficiency of your production.
